Like the last house we renovated, this one is located in Phoenix’s popular Central Corridor. We love this area because of the large lots with mature trees, the great restaurants, and the easy access to almost anywhere in the city.
“14th Ave” is a 4 bedroom, 2 bath ranch home on over 1/3 of an acre. It was built in 1951 and is 1874 sf. It has a 2 car attached garage along with another detached garage/workshop/storage shed in the backyard. The property boasts numerous large trees, an expansive grass backyard, and 2 covered patios.
The house has great “bones,” but it needed some updating. So we are making some changes including:
· Completely new kitchen with brand new stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops
· Completely renovated master bathroom that increases its size
· Completely renovated main bathroom with a soaking tub
· Adding a walk-in closet for the master bedroom
· All new flooring throughout the home
· All new double-paned windows
· All new interior and exterior doors
· All new lighting throughout
In addition to all of that, some of our favorite things about this home are the wood beam ceiling in the great room, the gas stove in the kitchen, the quartz island, the barn door for the laundry, the choice of irrigation or sprinklers for the yard, and the RV gate. And no kidding, every one of our trades working on this house has absolutely gushed over the backyard and the huge storage shed. The roof, sewer lines, and electrical panel are all new in 2020.
Here are the mock-ups I’ve done of the kitchens and bathrooms in our current plan. We expect this home to go on the market sometime near the beginning of March (fingers crossed).
